As an independent, family-owned business, our history is personal. Our roots trace back to Chicago, where the late Charles Colbert purchased the property and assets of Kroeck Paper Box, which was founded in 1892. Packaging was in Colbert’s blood, as his father founded American Coating Mills in 1921 and built it into one of the largest producers of folding cartons and carton board (sold in 1947). Since 1959, we have grown organically and through acquisition. Under the leadership of CEO Nancy Colbert MacDougall (daughter of Charles), we own and operate two manufacturing facilities.

Each day we are committed to producing safe, smart and sustainable packaging for our customers who include some of the biggest names in the pharmaceutical, healthcare and consumer goods markets.
